Coalition again paiement delays in construction – PAIEMENT ACTION

The United Front comprises several construction companies advocating for the adoption of new legislation on the rapid payment of construction contractors in Québec.

The United Front intends to submit to the government authorities a turnkey project for the adoption of these new legislative measures. On Fefbruary 26, 2015 Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton published a study report requested by the coalition : Etude d’impact des retards de paiements dans l’industrie de la construction au Québec. Actually, the coalition discuss with government représentatives about this matter.

As a member of the Federation Quebecoise des Associations d’Entrepreneurs Specialises en Construction (FQAESC), the CMEICI is actively involved in developing the project, in the interest of all of its members.

The eight members of the United Front are:

  1. Association de la construction du Québec (ACQ);
  2. Association des constructeurs de routes et grands travaux du Québec (ACRGTQ);
  3. Association des professionnels de la construction et de l’habitation du Québec (APCHQ);
  4. Corporation des entrepreneurs généraux du Québec (CEGQ);
  5. Corporation des maîtres électriciens du Québec (CMEQ);
  6. Corporation des maîtres mécaniciens en tuyauterie du Québec (CMMTQ);
  7. Fédération québécoise des associations d’entrepreneurs spécialisés en construction (FQAESC):
    1. Association de vitrerie et fenestration du Québec (AVFQ);
    2. Association de l’isolation du Québec (AIQ);
    3. Association des entrepreneurs en maçonnerie du Québec AEMQ);
    4. Corporation des entrepreneurs en traitement de l’air froid (CETAF);
    5. Association des maîtres peintres du Québec AMPQ);
    6. Association des entrepreneurs en revêtement métallique du Québec (AERMQ).
    7. Regroupement des entrepreneurs en coffrage du Québec (RECQ);
    8. Corporation of Master Fire Protection Contractors (CMEICI);
    9. Association des maîtres couvreurs du Québec (AMCQ).
